Conventions of Magazine Covers

     The main image on the cover of a magazine is usually someone who represents the main reason of that magazine. For example, if it was a sports magazine, there would be a professional player on the cover. It draws in the attention of readers to have someone that is very popular on the cover. Sometimes magazines will match the color of the clothes with some letters on the heading and sub heading. Also, most times, a magazine will have either a tip or a heading on the top left since that,s usually where people start reading from.
     The bar code always appears on the cover of the magazine due to advertisements on the back. On the headings and sub-headings, it has to be creative in order to catch peoples attention so alliteration is used frequently.
